Position Summary:
The Senior Engineer – Purchase will be responsible for managing procurement operations, vendor development, negotiation, and ensuring timely supply of engineering and automationcomponents such as Electric Motors, VFDs, PLCs, Switchgears, Relays, Control Panels, Sensors, and Limit Switches. The role requires close coordination with internal departments, adherenceto processes, and maintaining documentation to support the company’s operational andstrategic objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Study Job card and arrange Materials.
-Coordinate with Concerned Departments for Targets ,Specifications.
-Working on ERP for Releasing Purchase Orders,Delivery Rating,Supplier Rating.
-Ensure Supplier Scrutiny before placing Orders.
– Evaluate Cost and Delivery of the Parts and supplies on Time.
-Prepare schedule of comparison.
– Establish delivery terms, time and stages of inspection for the supply with Project Management .
-Negotiate Cost and release Purchase Orders.
– Maintain Secrecy of Prices.
– Ensure parts Procurement under the Targetted Costs.
– Commodties – to be Procured – Electrical / Mechanical Boughtout Items
– Achieve Cost Reduction thru New Material/New Vendor Development/Negotiation
– Monitor Shortage lists and Update Material Status on regular Basis
-To closely Monitor Target dates of Project and Procurement and Achieve 100%Uptimeonreciept of parts
-To Ensure all Concept of Purchase Ordering in System is Followed and maintained onRegularIntervals
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Qualification / Skills Requirement
Education Diploma / BE/ Graduation. Experience
5-6Years Experience in Purchase/Procurement Operations Preferably in MSMEMaterial Handling /Engineering Industry
Skills & Competencies
– Should have a knowledge about Electric Motor, VFD, PLC, switch gear and relay.
– Should have a knowledge about Control Pannel,Sensor, Limit Switches etc in EngineeringandAutomation Industry.
– Expertise in Purchasing, Negotiations, and Vendor Development.
– Identify new suppliers and vendor development.
– Ensure material availability as per production plan.
– Maintain records and documentation as per audit requirements.
