Position Title: Press Shop Supervisor

Department: Production

Location: Chikhali Pune

Reporting To: Production Head/ CEO

Position Summary:

The Press Shop Supervisor is responsible for managing press shop operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily press shop production activities

• Allocate manpower and monitor operator performance

• Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan

• Monitor quality of press components and reduce rejection/rework

• Ensure machine setup, die changeover, and process adherence

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Production Planning teams

• Maintain production records and shift reports

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and 5S practices

• Train operators on machine operation and safety procedures

• Monitor machine utilization and downtime

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production, or industrial Engineering

Experience: 3–8 years in Press Shop operation / Experience with power press, mechanical press, and sheet metal components/Prior team handling experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of press shop operations and sheet metal manufacturing

• Die setting and troubleshooting knowledge

• Production planning and manpower management

• Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills

• Understanding of quality tools and inspection methods

• Good communication and leadership skills

• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP, production reporting)
