Position Title: Jr.Quality Engineer

Reporting To: Quality Manager/ Plan Head
Position Summary:
To lead and ensure the implementation of robust quality systems across manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and ISO standards while driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, and process excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure compliance with quality standards for incoming, in-process, and final inspection.
- Develop and implement inspection plans, control plans, and quality checkpoints.
- Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Monitor product conformity and prevent non-conformities through proactive actions.
Process Quality & Improvement
- Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
- Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and scrap.
- Monitor process capability and product quality trends.
Documentation & Quality Systems
- Maintain and update quality documentation including SOPs, WI, QMS manuals, and records.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF / customer-specific quality requirements.
- Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports to management.
Supplier Quality Management
- Conduct supplier audits and quality assessments.
- Handle incoming material quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
- Support supplier development programs for quality improvement.
Customer Quality & Complaint Handling
- Lead customer complaint investigations and prepare 8D / CAR reports.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for effective resolution.
- Ensure timely closure of customer quality issues and preventive actions.
Audit & Compliance
- Lead internal audits and support external audits (ISO, customer, regulatory).
- Ensure audit findings are addressed with sustainable corrective actions.
- Maintain audit readiness across departments.
Team Coordination & Training
- Guide and mentor junior quality staff.
- Conduct quality awareness and process training for shop-floor teams.
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of Quality Tools (7 QC Tools, RCA, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
- Understanding of ISO standards (ISO 9001 preferred)
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel & documentation
